Gem Global Consult is a key partner in the development of an innovative 11 MW Waste-to-Energy (WTE) power plant in Ghana, addressing the country’s growing waste management crisis. With many landfills nearing capacity and few new sites being developed due to environmental and regulatory challenges, the need for sustainable waste management solutions has become critical, particularly in the Greater Accra Region, where waste production is rapidly increasing.
Safe and Clean Energy Limited (S & C Energy) has been established to tackle this pressing issue by converting municipal waste into clean, renewable energy. This project not only alleviates the burden on landfills but also contributes to Ghana’s energy needs, turning waste management into a lucrative and sustainable energy solution.
